WICHITA, Kan. Dec. 19, 2023 – Fairbank Equipment, Inc., a premier distributor of agriculture and propane parts and equipment, is pleased to announce the relocation of its Wichita headquarters and warehouse to a state-of-the-art 40,000-square-feet facility at Steeple Bay Parkway near Seneca Street and I-235.
The Wichita City Council, on Dec. 19, approved the issuance of Industrial Revenue Bonds to facilitate the acquisition of land and the construction of the new building.
“Fairbank has proudly called Wichita home for almost 80 years. Today’s city council vote is a testament to the dedication and skill of Fairbank’s workforce,” said Fairbank CEO Joel Edwards. “Our new location, conveniently positioned near a vital interstate, will accommodate Fairbank’s evolving needs, particularly the expansion of our retail and wholesale operations and the attraction and retention of top-tier talent.”
Founded in Wichita in 1946, Fairbank employs 28 full-time employees at its Wichita headquarters location and approximately 85 employees nationwide. The $7.35 million investment project includes the construction of a 14,000-square-foot office and retail space and a 26,000-square-foot warehouse and shop. It will create an additional 10 high-paying jobs by 2034.
These roles will span financial, sales, marketing and operational functions, supporting the growing Wichita location as well as the company’s eight other branch locations in Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Colorado, Missouri, Idaho and Washington.
