Access to talent: the key For Netapp
Opportunity
Talent retention and attraction is an important focus for any industry, and it is especially important for information technology companies like NetApp — a Silicon Valley-based Fortune 500 global IT provider. Ready for expansion, NetApp’s Wichita location needed to find the right talent to ensure continued success.
Solution
With talent as the key focus, the Greater Wichita Partnership worked with many partners including Wichita State University (WSU), the Kansas Department of Commerce and City of Wichita to provide an innovative solution. With over $50 million in capital investment, NetApp is in the process of building a new 168,000-square-foot Wichita headquarters on the WSU Innovation Campus — an interconnected community where organizations can establish operations and benefit from university resources, including talent. Being located on the Innovation Campus will give NetApp direct access to WSU’s talent pipeline and help them fill the 45 new jobs created through this project.
