Greater Wichita Partnership to Showcase Air Capital of the World at 2025 Paris Air Show
WICHITA, Kan., June 3, 2025 – The Greater Wichita Partnership will represent and promote the Wichita region, the Air Capital of the World, at the 2025 Paris Air Show, the world’s premier aerospace exhibition, from June 16 to 22.
This global event, held biennially at Le Bourget Airport near Paris, attracts over 2,500 exhibitors from 48 countries and approximately 300,000 visitors, including 130,000 industry professionals.
With a robust delegation of education leaders, business representatives, and elected officials, the Partnership will leverage this global stage to attract new business investment and strengthen the region’s existing aerospace industry.
Wichita is recognized as the No. 1 U.S. manufacturing metro and the most manufacturing-specialized region in the nation. The region has a rich aviation history and is home to major aerospace companies, including Airbus, Bombardier, Textron Aviation, and Spirit AeroSystems, alongside a 350+ regional and 450+ statewide supplier network.
Wichita State University (WSU) further cements the region’s global leadership, ranking as the No. 1 college in industry-funded aerospace research by the National Science Foundation and houses the renowned National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) and National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT).

Announcements
The following three announcements will take place on Monday, June 16, 2025.
- Location: Air Capital of the World Booth (Hall 3, B148)
- A Wichita-based research and educational facility will announce a new partnership with an East Coast aerospace and defense company during the grand opening of the Air Capital of the World booth. The parties involved will send a separate news release.
- Location: Air Capital of the World Chalet (50)
- A Wichita-based leader in aerospace composites will make an international announcement, highlighting a new strategic partnership to expand advanced composites manufacturing in the United States. The Partnership will send a separate news release, including photos from the announcement, following the announcement.
- Location: Air Capital of the World Chalet (50)
- Ad Astra Sky Supply, a Kansas manufacturing and distribution company, will officially launch its company and announce a partnership to deliver a domestic supply chain of digital engineering, advanced manufacturing and testing and certification capabilities. Ad Astra Sky Supply will send a separate news release.
A Strong Presence on the Global Stage
The Partnership’s presence at the 2025 Paris Air Show will include:
- Booth Kiosk Partners: Fiber Dynamics/FILL USA, Aero-Tech Engineering, Inc., Aircraft Parts Distribution, Clearwater Engineering, Etezazi Industries, Globe Engineering, Harlow Aerostructures, Metal Finishing Company and Weavix.
- Chalet Partners: Wichita State University, including NIAR and WSU Tech, SNC, NWI Aerostructures and Mid-State Aerospace, Inc.
- Delegation: U.S. Senator Jerry Moran, Congressman Ron Estes, Kansas Lt. Gov. David Toland, Wichita Mayor Lily Wu, Sedgwick County Commissioner Pete Meitzner, Kansas House Majority Leader Chris Croft, Kansas Representative Susan Estes, business leaders and higher education representatives.

Air Capital of the World Reception
The exclusive Air Capital of the World Reception brings together over 500 individuals, representing more than 100 companies, cabinet members, U.S. Senators, U.S. Representatives and other high-ranking government officials to connect, network and learn about the advantages of investing in the Wichita region's aerospace ecosystem. This important reception started in 2019 with 260 attendees and has grown exponentially.
