WICHITA, KS., Oct. 7, 2024 – Bloc Digital Inc., a leading 3D content, data visualization and alternative reality solutions company, is pleased to announce its expansion into Wichita.
The United Kingdom-founded company, with its U.S. HQ in Mentor, Ohio, has signed a lease with Ruffin Properties, LLC for approximately 3,400 square feet in the Epic Center, based in the heart of downtown Wichita.
The expansion marks a significant milestone for Bloc Digital, allowing the company to broaden its services for its growing North American client base, particularly in the aerospace, aviation and industrial sectors.
"We’re excited to see Bloc’s growth continue into Wichita, the Air Capital of the World. After starting our U.S. journey in Ohio just over a year ago, and with 25 years in the aviation and space industry across the UK and Europe, expanding into Wichita was the obvious next step for Bloc Digital Inc.,” said Bloc Digital Co-Director Keith Cox.
“We are thrilled to be opening our third office in the Epic Center. Kansas is already proving to be a great strategic decision for Bloc Digital and will certainly be an exciting new adventure with many opportunities,” said Bloc Digital Co-Director Chris Hotham.
Set to open in early 2025, the Wichita office will position Bloc Digital in proximity to key clients and partners, further enhancing collaboration and driving innovation in the aerospace community.
“I'm really energized about the potential for growth in Wichita with such a booming aerospace industry and great opportunities to help those companies with the bespoke solutions we can provide to be more connected, work smarter and have greater impact with their markets. They've been incredibly welcoming thus far. I’m looking forward to growing those relationships with an open office,” shared Bloc Digital Business Manager Mckenna Walker.
The Partnership was pleased to facilitate Bloc Digital’s expansion after meeting company representatives at the 2023 Paris Air Show.
“The Partnership is honored to welcome Bloc Digital to Wichita. Their expertise in immersive and data-driven technologies will further elevate our industries and position Wichita businesses at the forefront of innovation. We look forward to the valuable contributions the Bloc Digital team will have on our growing tech landscape,” said Partnership Executive Vice President of Economic Development Andrew Nave.
Bloc Digital aims to establish a key creative and technology hub in the city, with plans to expand its team over the coming years. The company will begin by filling several positions immediately. “Wichita is thrilled to welcome Bloc Digital to our vibrant tech ecosystem. I was honored to have witnessed the company’s cutting-edge technologies during my visit to their headquarters in Derby, U.K., this summer. Their presence in Wichita will strengthen our local economy and enhance our position as a hub for technology and innovation,” said Wichita Mayor Lily Wu.
In July, Wichita Mayor Lily Wu, Assistant Manager Troy Anderson, and representatives from the Partnership and Kansas Department of Commerce toured Bloc Digital’s UK headquarters following the Farnborough International Airshow. The visit highlighted the strong collaboration between the organizations and the commitment to supporting Bloc Digital’s successful expansion into Wichita.
“Kansas attracts new companies for a variety of reasons – such as our central location, innovation ecosystem and the nation’s strongest aviation sector,” Kansas Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary of Business Development Joshua Jefferson said. “With Bloc Digital, all three of those factors were in play. We look forward to the ongoing opportunities this expansion will bring to the Wichita community and the entire state.”
