WICHITA, Kan. August 29, 2023 – JTM Foods, LLC, the home of JJ’s Snack Pies, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its Wichita manufacturing facility. The media and public are invited to celebrate the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the new site at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29 at Wichita’s ict21 Industrial District located on the northwest corner of 21st Street and Cleveland Avenue.
“This is a monumental day for JTM Foods and its customers. The Wichita facility provides increased production capacity while its central location and easy interstate access significantly improve our logistical capabilities. This ultimately will allow us to effectively and efficiently get pies into the hands of more consumers across North America,” said Monty Pooley, JTM Foods, LLC. President and CEO.
Located in a 195,000-square-foot warehouse in the ict21 Industrial Park, the company’s $40 million investment project is expected to employ 150 people within the next two years, with up to 200 associates by the third year of operation.
Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple welcomed the expansion project emphasizing JTM Foods’ nearly 40-year history of making America’s No. 1 Snack Pies and other Sweet Treats.
“Recruiting and securing expansion projects like JTM Foods is key to our city’s economic growth and industry diversification. The long-standing company is providing hundreds of new, good-paying job opportunities for individuals throughout the city, namely Wichita’s north end,” said Mayor Whipple.
JTM Foods was the first company to secure space at Wichita’s ict21 Industrial Park in August of 2022. JTM’s CEO cited the strong collaboration between the public & private sector, accessible location and the area’s excellent workforce as determining factors.
Developers Marty and Ron Cornejo are credited with transforming the formerly blight-ridden land at I-135 and 21st Street North into ict21, the largest Class A industrial campus in the city.

When the Greater Wichita Partnership encouraged us to convert this area into industrial warehouses, then connected us to JTM Foods, we knew we scored a home run,” said Marty Cornejo. “We are thrilled to have JTM Foods as our newest tenant and cannot wait to see what the future holds for the company and the industrial park.”
JTM Foods, LLC., founded and headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, is hiring for all production positions and supervisory roles at its Wichita location with operations expected to begin in September 2023.
