Wichita Takes Flight: Showcasing the Air Capital at the 2025 Paris Air Show

The Partnership is set to represent the Wichita region—proudly known as the Air Capital of the World—at the 2025 Paris Air Show, the world's premier aerospace exhibition. This global event, held biennially at Le Bourget Airport near Paris, attracts over 2,500 exhibitors from 48 countries and approximately 300,000 visitors, including 130,000 industry professionals.
Wichita's delegation comprises education leaders, business representatives and elected officials. They aim to attract new business investments and strengthen the region's existing aerospace industry.
The region boasts a rich aviation history and is home to major aerospace companies such as Airbus, Bombardier, Textron Aviation and Spirit AeroSystems. Additionally, Wichita State University (WSU) ranks as the No. 1 U.S. college in industry-funded aerospace research, housing the renowned National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) and the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT).

A highlight of Wichita's presence at the Paris Air Show is the Air Capital of the World reception, which has seen a 77% increase in attendance since 2019. This exclusive event offers industry leaders, suppliers, and executives an opportunity to connect, network and explore the advantages of investing in Wichita's aerospace ecosystem.
